Robert L. Grover lives in Independence, MO. He Joined the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War as Member at Large on 3 October 1980; signed by Fred H. Combs, Jr., Coordinator of Membership-at-Large.

Ancestry: Samuel Sours, Company B, 4th Regiment, Iowa Infantry Veteran Volunteers; Enlisted 23 January 1864; Honorably Discharged 12 July 1865. (By Reason of Expiration of Time Service.)

Samuel Sours (son of Phillip and Mary (Swigart) Sower) was born 17 January 1836, in Summit County, Ohio; died 27 January 1922, and buried at Westside Cemetery, Union Township, Marble Rock, Floyd County, Iowa. He married on 8 February 1857, Marble Rock, Iowa to Ann Mariah Rex daughter of (Rudolph and Mary Ann (Asper) Rex) was born on 9 March 1839, Manchester, Adams County, Ohio; she died 6 November 1914 and buried at Westside Cemetery, Union Township, Marble Rock, Floyd County, Iowa.
